We're fundraising our film that's inspired by true events from March of 1977. Driving around, talking on CB radios & late night diners was very popular. And it was during the time when Elvis performed his last Oklahoma Concert in Norman, OK.

THE STORY

The most interesting thing about this project is that it is a retro comedy feature film inspired by TRUE EVENTS during the time of ELVIS PRESLEY'S last Oklahoma concert from 1977.

Imagine this: Two CRAZY NUTS with a CB RADIO going to an Elvis concert that leaves everyone they meet 'ALL SHOOK UP" in their wake!

Why am I telling this story?

I wrote this screenplay because I am one of those CRAZY NUTS this story is about. Several CB movies came out in the mid 70's, like 'Smokey and the Bandit', 'Breaker! Breaker!' & 'Citizen Band', that were released in 1977. CB RADIOS was the SOCIAL MEDIA for everyone at that time.

Even Elvis had a CB Radio. History repeats itself, and Citizen Band Radios are getting popular all over again!

I've been wanting to tell this this story for a long time and now that I have, it's time to make the film, and I'm looking forward to directing it with Josh Baxter! We want you involved and along for the ride in making it happen! It'll be a lot of fun, so please join us!

Director's Note by Josh Baxter

The title, “One Crazy Night,” is just the starting point for hilarious escapades, shenanigans and 70’s culture that sets the perfect stage! This was enough to get my attention as a director. It’s a personal story inspired by true events - and so relatable that you can’t help being drawn in!

My favorite aspect of storytelling is working through the many layers involved in a good yarn. It’s truly a multi-dimensional process through time and space. Telling a story visually adds so much more to the equation, and One Crazy Night does that in a fun-filled romp that throws caution to the wind. I mean, two young guys with a CB radio and Elvis - what could possibly happen next?

THE TEAM so far....

Rock Whitehead: Born on May 17, 1956 in Norman, Oklahoma. He recently wrote the feature screenplay titled One Crazy Night (2024) that will go into production soon. He is also a producer, director, and co-director of film festivals.

Josh Baxter: A Storyteller and experienced Producer/Director with a demonstrated history of working in television, video, and media production. Skilled in technical aspects of Production and Production Management. Strong professional with a BA focused in Film and Video Production from The University of Memphis.

Brenda Whitehead: Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, she is a writer, actress and co-director of film festivals. She played one of the leading characters as "Lola" in "High On The Hog", that was filmed in Galena Illinois & surrounding areas. The film stars were Sid Haig, Joe Estevez & Robert Z'Dar. She co-wrote the screenplay "Eli Elder" with Jack Snyder, which now has ben adapted into a novel.

Benhamin Oliver: I have worked in the television industry for over a decade. My work has been seen on numerous national networks such as ESPN, CBS Netflix, NBCSports, ABC, SEC Network, BIG10 Network, TLC, etc.
